This Is Why We Should All Look Up To The Kardashians
Most people would never admit that they admire the Kardashians, but the famous family has proved their critics wrong and showed us all that they can change the world – for the better.
The Kardashians have handled Bruce Jenner’s transition to woman with such understanding, patience, open-mindedness and empathy that we cannot deny that the reality stars have indeed become beacons of hope and a true inspiration to us all. Moreover, one of the most popular families ever have also become important figures in the LGBT movement, especially after we have seen them in the Keeping Up With the Kardashians: About Bruce, a two-part special dealing with the former Olympian’s transition.
The special, which aired three weeks after Jenner publicly came out as trans in a much-anticipated TV interview with Diane Sawyer, began with a heartwarming message from Jenner.
Here’s what he said:
“Families of trans people often feel they need to grieve the loss of the person that they thought they know. My family’s feelings are included here in the hope that other families will know that they are not alone, and to show that families move on from this grief. Today my family loves, supports, and accepts me as I am—and I am so grateful.”
Kardashians, well done.
