Selena Gomez Talks About Undergoing Chemotherapy
Selena Gomez is making her big comeback to music with the Friday release of her second album “Revival.” In an exclusive interview with Billboard magazine, she talked about a lot of the problems she was going through that made her retreat from the limelight for a while.
The 23-year-old was recently diagnosed with Lupus and she had to undergo chemotherapy treatments that saved her life.
Lupus is an autoimmune disease which causes the immune system to attack the body it is supposed to be protecting.
Gomez talked about how frustrating it was, and how angry it made her, to read all of the Tabloids that were speculating about her absence. She talked about how infuriated she was to read reports saying that she had addiction problems and was in rehab when she was actually undergoing chemo and fighting for her life.
Speaking of her album, Gomez said that it’s all about her, adding that it is something that she “earned” and deserves.
