Scrubs Stars Will Make Pizzas For Indiana Gay Weddings
Buena Vista Home Entertainment
After Memories Pizza announced they would not cater gay weddings, Scrubs stars Zach Braff and Donald Faison have offered to provide pizza for same-sex weddings in the state.
Last week, the owners of the Indiana pizza shop denied service to gay couples after Indiana’s shocking new ‘Religious Freedom Restoration Act’, which allows people to discriminate against homosexuals on the grounds of religion.
Due to severe threats, Memories Pizza had to close the shop temporarily, but it seems that they are not the only ones who dislike gay people. Namely, a GoFundMe campaign was launched to support the owners and raised a whopping $842,387.
Luckily, not everyone agrees with the family who runs the pizza restaurant. Braff and Faison, best known for starring in the popular sitcom Scrubs, have shown their support and solidarity with gay people via Twitter and offered to make pizzas for them.
Also, The Equality House created a virtual pizza party in order to raise funds for LGBT homeless youth and Cyndi Lauper offered her support with a fundraiser titled #PizzaForEquality.
