Scott Weiland, Former Stone Temple Pilots Singer, Dies At 48

Scott Weiland, best known as the singer of ultra-popular rock bands Stone Temple Pilots and Velvet Revolver, has passed away at the age of 48.
His manager has confirmed the sad news, saying that Weiland died in his sleep. TMZ reports that he was found dead on his tour bus in Minnesota. He was touring America with his new band The Wildabouts.
His death comes as a surprise to millions of fans around the world, though Weiland was no stranger to drug addiction. He went to rehab on multiple occasions and his drug abuse problems took their toll on both his personal life and his career.
Weiland will always be remembered as one of the biggest legends of the 90’s grunge movement and his legacy with the Stone Temple Pilots will live on. Rest in peace, Scott!
