Robert Downey Jr. Does Hide Food All Over Movie Sets, Vincent D’Onofrio Confirms

If you are a fan of the blockbuster The Avengers, you might have noticed something peculiar during the movie – Robert Downey Jr. was always eating.

According to rumors, the popular actor would bring his own food to the film set, hide it and eat it during scenes.  The producers thought it provided comic relief, so they left those scenes in the movie.

In a HuffPost Live interview Friday, Vincent D’Onofrio, who is set to co-star alongside Downey in the upcoming flick The Judge, confirmed that Downey indeed hides food throughout the set.  Unfortunately, he refused to reveal the reason behind Robert’s strange behavior on set.

“Downey does hide food all over set.  I’m not going to tell you why. But he does. It makes perfect sense.”

The Jugde, which also stars BIlly Bob Thornton and Robert Duvall, premiers Oct. 10.
