As the buzz surrounding Beyoncé’s epic Super Bowl performance continues, it turns out that not everyone was pleased with the singer paying tribute to the Black Panthers and the Black Lives Matter movement.
The pop superstar first faced criticism from politicians such as former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani and Rep. Peter King, who claimed that her halftime performance was ‘’anti-police.’’ Now, there will be an anti-Beyoncé protest outside of the NFL Headquarters in Manhattan on February 16, which just so happens to be the same day the tickets for the singer’s Formation world tour are to be released.
Here’s what the event’s description says:
“Are you offended as an American that Beyonce pulled her race-baiting stunt at the Superbowl? Do you agree that it was a slap in the face to law enforcement?”
The organizer of the protest also wrote that her show was filled with ‘’hate speech’’ and ‘’racism,’’ agreeing with Giuliani that she shouldn’t have used her halftime performance to attack the police.
