Pop star Nick Carter took the chance while on his honeymoon to respond to ‘N Sync star Joey Fatone, following his remarks on why the Backstreet Boys are still together. He said it’s all about the money, which they allegedly need.
Fatone talked about them in a live chat with The Huffington Post, when he was asked to say something about the Backstreet Boys and the fact they are still touring, even 21 years after they became famous.
He explained,
“I feel like they just need the money. No offence, guys. But I’m saying, if you think about it, it’s like, ‘Why are you coming back out again?’”
Nick heard about the infamous comment, and took to Twitter.com, while still on a honeymoon with his new wife Lauren Kitt, to express his disappointment. In his post, he wrote,
“Just disappointed, I really liked Joey… I’m proud of who we are and love what we stand for. Truthfully it’s about not letting our fans down. Sorry bro but you have us all wrong. Now let me go back to enjoying my honeymoon.”

Fatone’s band also reunited in 2013 to honor Justin Timberlake.
He made a comment about it, too,
“I don’t know whether or not something will ever happen again, but again you always say never say never because that happened. That was never gonna happen and all of a sudden it did happen,” he continued. “At this moment in time is anything gonna happen? Absolutely, 100 percent no…at this moment.”
To all the haters that thought it wouldn’t last…I LOVE Mrs Carter! @lauren_kitt #ilovemywife… http://t.co/XNk23KuGSU
