Superstar Justin Bieber has changed his ways just in time to celebrate his 22nd birthday, a time in his life when he’s decided to make up for all the bad things he did in the past, including vandalism, a DUI arrest and disrespecting fans. To show the world that he has no intention of being the bad boy of pop music, Justin embarked on an apology tour that’s supposed to enable him to make a fresh start.
After he turned 21, Biebs wanted to make sure that his bad rep wouldn’t mess with his highly-expected comeback, so the singer even endured a Comedy Central roast that made fun of his numerous past mistakes. Here’s what he said back then:
“I look forward to being someone you’re proud of… You have my word—I will not end up broken, pathetic, bitter or sitting on someone else’s roast. I’m at a moment of change. This is a new day.”
Though many were skeptical, Justin proved that he can be a nice guy if he wants to. For the most part, the previous year and the beginning of 2016 have been successful for the young heartthrob, both as far as his music and his public persona is concerned.
What’s more, Justin frequently talks about his past and the lessons he’s learned since he promised to steer clear of trouble, stressing the importance of veering away from his previous self-centered attitude. Despite the fact that he still makes public mistakes, it’s important to keep in mind that the young celebrity is doing all he can to earn his forgiveness and become a better human being. For that, we applaud him!
Happy birthday, Justin!
