Miss America Finally Apologizes To Vanessa Williams After 31 Years

Vanessa Williams – who later went on to star in movies like Eraser and Dance with Me – won Miss America in 1984. Then, after a while, the people from the organization discovered some nude (and quite racy) photos of Vanessa and she was indirectly made to return the crown.

Now, it seems that they are finally making up, with the organization issuing a formal apology to Williams. The reason? They want her to be the judge in the years to follow and they wanted to clear the air.

According to the sources, the whole thing was a bit more complicated as the Miss America organization was under the impression Vanessa would also apologize. This didn’t happen but it seems everything is settled for the time being.
