Miley Cyrus’ Homeless VMAs Date Is a Wanted Man in Oregon

Miley Cyrus’ homeless date at the MTV VMAs on Sunday apparently has a police record and an open warrant out for his arrest in Oregon.

Jesse Helt, 22, gave a speech about homelessness in America and accepted the award for Best Video on behalf of Cyrus at the VMAs.

After the show, ABC News obtained court records that showed Helt was arrested for ‘’criminal mischief’’ and ‘’attempted burglary’’ in 2010.  The burglary was changed to ‘’criminal trespass’’ and the young man admitted he had tried to break into an apartment amid a dispute about marijuana.

After he violated his probation, an arrest warrant was issued in 2011.
