Martial Arts Star, Actor Dies at 42


Sources in Hollywood have confirmed that martial artist and actor Darren Shahlavi has died. He was only 42 years old. The death was confirmed by Shahlavi’s agent, who said that he died at his home a week ago. There has been no cause of the death issues, and according to sources close to the actor, the toxicology report has yet to be released.

A native of England, Shahlavi came to America seeking work in action movies as a stuntman and martial artists. He was featured in smaller roles in many movies and televisions shows between 1990 and 2000. His biggest break was landing the role of Kano in the hit television show Mortal Kombat: Legacy. He was also a stuntman in many big budget movies, among them 300, Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol and The Chronicles of Riddick.

Most recently, Shahlavi made an appearance in the 2012 pilot of the show Arrow.
