Mariah Carey Says She’s Ready For Vegas
Following in the footsteps of Celine Dion and Shania Twain, Mariah Carrey is ready to set Las Vegas on fire. She arrived at Caesars Palace on Monday and promised fans a spectacle they will never forget – or to be precise, at least 18 spectacular shows.
Here’s what she said backstage at the Colosseum:
“No matter what, we’re going to make it into a festive moment, darling. It’s an extravaganza. Everyone in Vegas, there’s a new girl in town.”
Her show starts next Wednesday and people close to her say she will not have a Japan repeat. They claim her voice is on fire, and stress that she is taking her Vegas residency as seriously as anything in her successful career.
