Troubled actress Lindsay Lohan has reportedly been treated in a London hospital after contracting Chikungunya, a rare and incurable mosquito-borne virus, while working in Bora Bora over the holidays.

According to TMZ, Lohan went to the French Polynesian island to film a Esurance commercial and ended up contracting Chikungunya. The poor woman just can’t get anything right lately.

She first revealed her diagnosis on Instagram after sharing a photo of herself on a jet ski and captioning the picture, “Before I got chikungunya”. Although Lohan tried to remain in good spirits, she later wrote that being sick is no fun. She added that she wouldn’t let a virus ruin her ‘vacation’.

Although she thought that she was doing fine when she returned to Los Angeles, Lohan had to be hospitalized in London due to intense pain. The virus causes fever, joint pain and fatigue and although there is no known cure, most patients make a full recovery.
