Lil Wayne Uninjured In Tour Bus Shooting
Lil Wayne and his entourage, including Young Money artists Lil Twist and Hood, were leaving Atlanta’s Compound nightclub Saturday night when their tour bus was shot at, reports TMZ.
The police has confirmed that the vehicle has been fired at multiple times, and said that no one was injured in the shooting.
According to eye-witnesses, the rapper’s tour buses were driven to a nearby hotel immediately after the shooting, and a source told TMZ that a member of Wayne’s entourage called the police.
Atlanta Police spokesperson Elizabeth Espy said that officers were called to the Mandarin Oriental hotel on Peachtree Road at around 3:30 AM “regarding someone shooting at a bus that Lil Wayne was on.” She also said that the shots had been fired from two cars, and that they are still looking for suspects.
The incident happens just a few weeks after Wayne’s former tour bus driver Mark Jones accused the 32-year-old rapper of threatening to kill him. He is suing the star for false imprisonment, assault and emotional distress.
