Jennifer Lawrence Says Releasing Nude Pics Should Count As Sex Crime

2014 iHeartRadio Music Festival - Night 1 - Backstage

A couple of weeks after the infamous nude pics scandal that shook Hollywood, Jennifer Lawrence said in an interview for Vanity Fair that the whole affair is not only absolutely disgusting, but also constitutes a sexual violation, and that, as such, it should be prosecuted as a sex crime.

She holds the websites that published her photos, and the photos of others, directly responsible and says that the law needs to change.

The actress also said that she can’t even believe that we live in a world where somebody gets sexually exploited and that someone then makes profit out of it.

Talking about her initial reaction to the scandal, J-Law said she was “gutted” and afraid, not knowing what would happen next and how it would affect her career. Immediately after the scandal, Lawrence’s spokesperson issued a statement, saying that the actress would certainly press charges.
