Iggy Azalea Tops AMA Nominee List


Australian star Iggy Azalea is the lead nominee at the American Music Awards 2014.

On Monday, October 13, Dick Clark productions announced that the star is up for six awards at the November 23 event at Nokia Theatre L.A. Live.

The rapper’s nominations include artist, new artist and single of the year for her No.1 song titled “Fancy.”

John Legend, Katy Perry and Pharrell Williams have five nominations each, and Lorde is up for four awards at the fan-voted show. They are all nominated for artist of the year and will be competing with Beyoncé, Luke Bryan, Eminem, Imagine Dragons and One Direction.

The 10 nominees will then be downsized to five after calculating fan votes received through November 13.

Singer Charli XCX will perform at the 2014 AMAs, to be aired live on ABC.
