Iggy Azalea Postpones Entire US Spring Tour
A few weeks ago, Iggy Azalea announced she was quitting Twitter, but it appears that she won’t just be disappearing from social media. The Australian rapper has also decided to disappear from the stage, at least for a few months.
Tour dates for Azalea’s The Great Escape Tour, which was set to kick off mid-April, have been postponed for five months. Now she’ll open her tour in San Diego on September 18 at Valley View Casino Center.
Sadly, there’s even more bad news. Nick Jonas, who was supposed to tour with her, is no longer a part of the show.
Azalea’s record company Def Jam said in a statement that all the dates have been rescheduled ”due to tour production delays.”
“To accommodate for creative team availability and tour production plans, it was determined that the tour will not be ready this Spring. It is extremely important to Iggy that she delivers the show she envisaged to share with her fans and that requires more time in development.”
And the Grammy-nominated singer (technically, her management since they took over her social media presence) promised the tour would be even more amazing in the fall.
Iggz HQ: The tour getting pushed back only means that it’ll be way more amazing than it would’ve been in April. Good things take time.
