Gunman Turns Amy Schumer’s ‘Trainwreck’ Screening Into Tragedy
Amy Schumer’s first major vehicle has just started screening in cinemas across the country and it has already become notorious. Namely, in Lafayette, Louisiana, a gunman stood up 20 minutes into the movie, took out his gun and started shooting people in the audience.
After killing two and injuring 9 more people, he turned the gun on himself and shot himself in the head. The incident occurred at the Grand Theatre 16 and the victims are said to be ranging from people in their late teens to elderly. The authorities are saying that some of the injured people are critical.
The gunman remains unnamed, although the officials have said that he has a criminal history. How someone with a criminal history is able to walk into a movie theatre with a loaded gun is a question that needs to be answered.
