Grammys 2015: Highlights And Memorable Moments

Sam Smith, Beck and Beyonce were the biggest winners at the 57th annual Grammy Awards Sunday night at the Staples Center in Los Angeles.

Smith, who won four awards, was definitely the star of the show. The British singer thanked the man who broke his heart last year because he got Smith four Grammys. He also spoke about trying to make it in the music industry, how he tried to lose weight, thanked his mom and dad and almost cried at the ceremony. Well, no wonder – he did win every major award.

Beck took away the award for best rock album and album of the year – and seemed surprised to hear his name called for the latter award.

Kanye West apparently wanted to interrupt Beck’s acceptance speech for album of the year. Although the Internet thought that West developed a sense of humor, it seems that he really thought that Beck should give his award to Beyonce. He was drunk and said that Beck needs to respect real artistry and give his award to Beyonce. Kim was obviously horrified, but didn’t want to comment.

As expected, Bey and Jay-Z scored best R&B performance for their hit song Drunk in Love. Bey put an end to divorce rumors as she proclaimed her love toward hubby Jay-Z on stage.

Pharrell Williams scored best pop solo performance for his worldwide famous hit Happy, topping Smith, Swift, Sia and John Legend.

Miley Cyrus was in the center of attention when she grabbed Katy Perry‘s boob. Well, at least they aren’t upset because they didn’t receive any awards.

Another big moment was President Obama’s message which called for an end to rape and domestic violence. He stressed that rape is ‘not OK – and it has to stop.’

The night was also filled with outstanding performances from some of the most popular names in the industry. AC/DC kicked off the night, Ariana Grande showed off her singing talent and Madonna presented her new single Livin’ For Love.
