Former WWE Star Chyna Found Dead In Apartment

According to the wresting legend’s official Twitter account, former WWE superstar Chyna has died at the age of 46.

Joanie Laurer, better know to the world as Chyna, revolutionized the role of women in professional wrestling. Known as “The Ninth Wonder of the World,” Chyna held the WWE Women’s Championship belt for a period of 231 days in 2001 and was the only female wrestler to ever win the WWE Intercontinental Championship, not once, but twice.

According to the Redondo Beach Police Department, Chyna was found dead in her apartment, but so far, there are no signs that point to any foul play being involved in her death. The investigation into the former wrestling celebrity and icon’s death is ongoing and police want to determine whether it was natural or accidental.

Thousands of wrestling fans and colleagues took to social media to express their sadness over the news, including WWE Chief Brand Officer Stephanie McMahon.
