Emma Watson Graduates From Brown

Actress Emma Watson will graduate from Brown University later in May.

The world’s beloved star will receive a degree in English literature in Providence, Rhode Island on May 25.

Emma began studying at the university in 2009. However, she decided to take “a semester or two” break, before she moved to Worchester College in Oxford for the 2011-2012 school year. Subsequently, she returned to Brown. The star’s representative said she will be attending the commencement ceremony.

The higher education finish comes just in time, as Watson is gearing up to reteam with her Harry Potter co-stars Daniel Radcliffe and Rupert Grint for a special scene to be placed in the Escape from Gringotts ride at Universal Studios in Orlando.

Speaking about her pursuit of higher education in an interview with the Sunday Times earlier this year, the actress admitted she was nervous about trying to get along with other people.

“On the first day, I walked into the canteen and everyone went completely silent and turned to look at me,” she said.
“I had to say to myself, ‘It’s okay, you can do this. You just have to take a deep breath and gather your courage.'”

Things got much easier after that. “I’ve never even been asked for an autograph on campus,” she said in 2013. “I threw a party for nearly 100 students and not a single person put a photo on Facebook.”
