Elton John Slammed As ‘Gay Taliban’ Over D&G Scandal
Italian politician Roberto Formigoni described Sir Elton John as ‘a gay Taliban’ because the popular singer criticized Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana’s attitude toward assisted fertility and called to boycott D&G.
Formigoni accused the singer of trying to censor any opinion that doesn’t agree with the homosexual agenda and other politicians backed him up.
“I’m with Dolce and Gabbana and I applaud their courageous statement, this is freedom of expression. The campaign launched against the two stylists by Elton John is shameful and intolerable. Elton John is a Taliban, he is using against Dolce and Gabbana the same methods used by the Taliban against (the French satirical magazine) Charlie Hebdo.”
The celebrated fashion designers told an Italian magazine that children born through IVF are ‘syntethic’ and said that despite being gay the one true family is the traditional one where children have a mother and father.
Understandably, John felt offended by their statement because he and his husband David Furnish have children and launched a campaign against the brand.
“How dare you refer to my beautiful children as ‘synthetic.’ And shame on you for wagging your judgmental little fingers at IVF – a miracle that has allowed legions of loving people, both straight and gay, to fulfil their dream of having children. … #BoycottDolceGabbana.”
His boycott has gained support from many celebs, including Victoria Beckham, Courtney Love, Ricky Martin and Martina Navratilova.

Just round up all my Dolce & Gabbana pieces, I want to burn them. I’m just beyond words and emotions. Boycott senseless bigotry! #boycottD&G

How dare you refer to my beautiful children as "synthetic". And shame on you for wagging your judgemental little fingers at IVF – a miracle that has allowed legions of loving people, both straight and gay, to fulfil their dream of having children. Your archaic thinking is out of step with the times, just like your fashions. I shall never wear Dolce and Gabbana ever again. #BoycottDolceGabbana
