Did Celebs Voluntarily Share Their Nude Photos?

The newest reports state that the nude celebrity photos that leaked online may have been obtained using the oldest trick of the trade – phishing.

The FBI is currently investigating the possibility that some of the celebrities targeted in the attack, including Jennifer Lawrence, Kate Upton and others, may have been victims to sharing their information with hackers voluntarily.

According to TMZ.com:

“FBI investigators are looking into whether Kate and at least 3 other celebs were prime targets of phishing.”

After a two-day investigation, Apple stated that the bug did not occur within their iCloud or Find my iPhone systems, but that the celebrity accounts were obtained in a ‘targeted attack.’

Law enforcement sources say that the stars probably received an email appearing to be from Apple regarding a false issue with their account in which they were asked to share their passwords and other personal info.
