Depp Won’t Be Testifying In Murder Trial

Hollywood actor Johnny Depp is no longer required to testify in a murder trial.

The lawyers have agreed he was not in a relationship with the accused.

The actor was served legal papers relating to the trial while he was attending a movie premiere in Los Angeles earlier in April.

The accused, Nancy Lekon, is on trial for killing a pedestrian with her car in 2009.

She has pleaded not guilty by reason of insanity.

She claims she was in a relationship with Depp, so her lawyer hoped Johnny would reinforce her insanity plea in his testimony.

According to, the famous actor is no longer required to give evidence, after prosecution and defense attorneys agreed the actor has no connection to Lekon, or any other involvement with the case.

Limousine driver Nancy is accused of hitting a female pedestrian, dragging her for a mile and killing her in downtown LA’s Skid Row in 2009.

Well, according to TMZ, at the time of the fatal incident and after Lekon was arrested, she actually told police officers she was in a relationship with the Hollywood actor and that she had been on her way to meet him for a little date at the time of the accident.

The 50-year-old actor was served with legal documents at the Transcendence premiere in Hollywood because the public defender wanted his help to testify he has never met Nancy before and that she is, in fact, delusional.
