Cosby’s Lawyer Accuses Alleged Victim Of Extortion

On Tuesady, Judy Huth filed a lawsuit against Bill Cosby. She claims that when she was 15 in 1974, Cosby got her drunk and sexually assaulted her in the Playboy mansion.

According to the Associated Press, Cosby’s attorney Martin Singer claims that the allegations are false and that Huth’s lawsuit follows a failed attempt to extort $250,000 from Cosby.

Cosby is now seeking $33,000 from Huth.

However, Los Angeles Police Chief Charlie Beck said that the department will investigate “any reports of abuse against Cosby, even if they were outside the statute of limitations for prosecution.”

“We don’t turn people away because things are out of statute. You come to us, especially with a sexual allegation, we will work with you. We address these things seriously—and it’s not just because it’s Mr. Cosby.”

Cosby has never been charged with sexual assault.
