Chris Brown Will Spend Summer Behind Bars

R&B star Chris Brown has been sentenced to spend the entire summer behind bars.

On Friday, May 9 the singer confessed to violating his probation relating to his 2009 assault trial, by getting into a fight outside a Washington D.C. hotel in October 2013.

He was sentenced to a year in jail.

However, he still got credit for 116 day he has already spent in rehab when he was seeking court-ordered treatment for anger management.

According to, he also spent 59 days behind the bars this year, which leaves a total of 131 days.

The star was facing four years behind bars, but the judge agreed to take into account that the singer was recently diagnosed with bipolar disorder. It could account for some of the violence.

The judge also urged him to attend therapy session twice a week, and also to submit to random drug testing three times a week.

Chris, who has spent his birthday in jail earlier, on May 5, also is facing an assault trial in Washington D.C. in June.

His bodyguard Christopher Hollosy has already been found guilty of attack on a 20-year old Parker Adams. Adams accused Brown and Hollosy of beating him up and breaking his nose in an altercation in October 2013.

Chris has been behind bars since March 2014, after a judge sentenced him to jail time after he was dismissed from a rehab clinic after breaking its house rules.
