Charlie Sheen’s Exes Speak Out About His Condition
Charlie Sheen made a statement on the Today show on Tuesday, in which he admitted that he’s been HIV positive for the last four years. Since then, several women who were involved with the actor in the past, including his ex-wives, have had something to say on the matter and most of them shared their honest support and compassion for Charlie’s condition.
Charlie’s personal physician Dr. Robert Huizenga stated that the levels of HIV in the actor’s blood are still virtually undetectable due to effective medicine. This did not comfort his loved ones, however, especially his daughter Cassandra Estevez, who was informed of her father’s condition a few days before the public announcement and did not take it very well.
Here’s what Charlie said:
“I felt bad, it hit her hard but she recovered, and she’s tough like her dad.”
Brooke Mueller and Denise Richards, Sheen’s ex-wives, and their children have since been tested for HIV and all of their results, fortunately, came back negative. The actor claims that he informed his exes of his condition when he first found out about it himself in 2011 while Bree Olson, who dated Sheen the same year, said she wasn’t notified. She even went as far as to call him “a monster.”
Another gracious support statement was given by Mia Isabella, adult film star and transgender model who dated Sheen in 2014.
To quote her:
“Prayers out to him. That IS hard news to hear. I’m saddened but know him as an incredible person and advocate. My memories of him reflect a warrior and super brave person, so I know he will navigate through this with strength. He isn’t afraid of facing any public scrutiny and speaking frankly and I have nothing but admiration for his friendship.”
