Carrie Fisher Determined To Get Princess Leia Right!

Actress Carrie Fisher says she is determined to get her Star Wars heroine Princess Leia “right this time”.  She is set to reprise the famous character for J.J. Abram’s Episode VII.

She has regrouped with colleagues Harrison Ford and Mark Hamill for the movie in Britain. And speaking at the Hay Festival in Wales on Saturday, May 24 she revealed to BBC she is vowed to correct her errors she has made in previous star Wars movies.

She said she hopes to make the aged Leia “less British”. She also added, “I looked a little pretentious faking the accent.”

The star also admitted that at age of 57 she naturally looks much different to the character she first portrayed in the mid-1970s. She was only a teenager when she first portrayed the beloved Princess Leia.

She said, “We all look a little melted.”

However, she is still excited to be part of the new movie.

“It is good to have us all in a room because it’s unique. I mean, I don’t suppose they have reunions for the Gone With The Wind gang.”

“I think people should be forced to do it 30 years on, classic films that they had, either to make another film or put together an anecdote,” she finishes.

The movie is due to be released around Christmas in 2015.
Carrie was only 19 when she landed the role in the original Star Wars film, which was released in 1977.
