Bradley Cooper Chugged 8000 Calories Per Day For ‘Sniper’

It’s 3rd in a row for Bradly Cooper. We are, of course, talking about his Oscar nominations. Odds for winning are slim, but even being nominated sometimes means big money for nominee.

For his latest nomination, he had to eat an average of 8000 calories per day to portray infamous Navy SEAL sniper Chris Kyle and that tells a lot – he sure can commit to a role!

Cooper went under strict regime to portray Kyle in the latest Clint Eastwood movie, American Sniper. Being nominated for a Best Actor prove it was worth it.

People magazine talked to producer Jason Hall on how Cooper trained for his role: “He had a strict, crazy diet,” Hall said. “He was eating about every 55 minutes or something like that, and I want to say it was about 8,000 calories a day.”

“Bradley used his own trainer, who was busting on him. I think he was working out four hours a day for several months. He was determined to do it naturally, he didn’t want to use any hormones or steroids or anything. He was just very systematic about it and took his trainer with him wherever he went.”

We will see if this will be enough for Cooper – third time is the charm?
