Bad Boy Rapper Treach Arrested For Eluding Police

‘Naughty By Nature’ rapper Treach was arrested on Friday, April 11, in New Jersey for eluding police.

The rapper, real name Anthony Criss, reportedly failed to stop when police signalized him in Union City. He allegedly raced off at high speed before officers detained him.

Treach is accused of driving by a police speed radar going 30 mph above the limit. Union City officers claim when they pulled out to stop his vehicle, Treach sped off leading to a nine-block chase.

Once he finally stopped, police say he approached their vehicle forcing them to pull out their weapons and order him back to his own car.

Police cited Treach with reckless driving, speeding and driving with a suspended license.

Some hours later, the hip-hop star appeared in Central Judicial Processing court in Jersey City. His bail was set at $15,000 (£9,375).

It wasn’t a very good day for the 43-year rapper, as he was found to have fallen behind on child support and was therefore ordered to settle that debt in Passaic County before being released.

The child support details have not been revealed, but it is known that he has one child. His daughter, a 15-year old, named Egypt, and he got her from his marriage with Salt-n-Pepa star Sandra Denton.

They divorced in 2001.

Rapper’s lawyer, Darryl Smith, hasn’t commented yet on the arrest.
