Amy Pascal: I’m Sorry

Sony Pictures Classic 68th Annual Golden Globe Awards Party

Sony Pictures co-chairman Amy Pascal says she is terribly sorry for her racial remarks. Is she sorry for making them or just for being caught, though?

In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter she stated that she’s going to try and make things right. What’s more she already reached out to Jesse Jackson and Rev. Al Sharpton.

“I’m being proactive, and I want to accept responsibility for these stupid, callous remarks.”

One of the first phone calls she made after her leaked email exchange with producer Scott Rudin was to Jackson:

“It was a very preliminary conversation, and we just talked about getting together and hoping to discuss a healing process.”

As for Sharpton, she said he accepted her apologies. “He was very warm,” she said. “I told him I’m coming to New York and will speak with him.”
